good day!
after the great success yesterday, I propose we have "fifi 2" right away
to consolidate the anarchic format: "no rules ever". since this sounds a
bit like hannah arendt's "keine macht fuer niemand", I propose we meet
on monday at 14:30 at the uni under the letters of
"thermoinformatics & society".
the meeting will go as it (anthing) goes, if we are lucky we start with
remarks by
sophie related to her narration in bristol, and it may contain a
debriefing of an
event in benasque on science & society, containing said quote brought
forward by pauli. in the evening, a holiday kickoff and farewell barbeque
is foreseen, followed by a screening of "les invasions barbares" with a
special
mention of the second law.

forum indipendente this week

good evening,
I hope you are all well!
it is my pleasure to announce for this thursday an edition of our new
format, the forum indipendente.
let us have it at 2pm, either in the fifth floor or in the court.
the topic will be "quantum advantage",
(in avoidance of the standard, uglier term...)
we are happy to have with xavier a real insider on the topic.
after an introduction, we may discuss how recent thoughts on
shor vs. generic algorithms fit into the picture.
