Best, Will Schober Title: Solving the abelian hidden subgroup problem in polynomial time Abstract: In this talk I’m going to introduce the hidden subgroup problem (HSP), and give examples of interesting problems that can be seen as special cases. We then show how to solve the HSP in the case of abelian group on a quantum computer using representation theory of finite groups.
